motor vehicle can enter from east side through Pacung Village and go to
Jatiluwih and also from the west side from Watukaru Temple pass to Jatiluwih.
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is
a famous tourist destination in west part of Bali featured by the
breathtaking view of rice terrace unfolding from the foot of mountain
until the coastal side. It has been well appointed as one of UNESCO
World Heritages since the site has been able to maintain the local
culture heritage in form of water irrigation system managed
traditionally called by SUBAK. It is one of recommended places to visit

luwih, where Jati mean really and Luwih meaning especial, good, and

rural, rice field and strong organization who manage irrigation system
called by SUBAK. The UNESCO was appointed this site as one of the World
Heritage Sites on 26 July 2012 from long effort to propose it since 2003
by Bali’s government. This appointment was covering 14 Subak and 11
villages consisted of 2,372 ha of rice field, 3,545 ha of garden, 9,316
ha of forest, 317 ha of housing area and 475 ha of wild bush.
